This adorable wallpaper from Unazukin is so sweet isn't it? These little dolls almost remind me of matryoshka. There are lots of other wallpapers, including a christmas one and a winter one with a snowman. My favorite is probably this one and the Daruma one, though! Even though the calendars are outdated, these make fantastically cute desktops. Speaking of desktops, the Kamio website has fantastic desktops too!
Well enough of that...
I'm coveting this darling shirt from Maryink on Etsy! I've been slowly falling in love with Matryoshka ever since the Japanese fabrics began to come out... They're just so cute, what can I say!? I am also a fan of her silkscreened votive candle holders! So amazing!!
I can't wait for Christmas to come, and with finals out of the way at last, I just get to relax until it gets here!! :)

So I was just flipping through my new Cotton & Paint, a Japanese craft magazine, when I came across these ADORABLE designs by Marmelo! I fell in love with this one. The dedication it would take to make this makes me balk, but it's SO cute. Maybe if I get an amazing sewing machine for Christmas I will attempt something similar. Her pouches are really a labor of love! Well I assume it's a female making them. Anyway.... Go to her website Marmelo*2007 and click around to see some more GREAT pouches.
I got some new fabrics in the mail today, too! I got the adorable new cosmo textile fabric with all the lines of cute animal scenes. I also got a really cute hedgehog fabric I've been coveting. And i ordered somewhere close to 4 more yards of fabric, yay!I can't wait to get them in so I can start on my new January collection!
In other news.. 2 more exams left to go, and I've officially put in my 2 weeks at work! Life is looking much brighter :)

Does anyone else have a cd or a band they listen to on certain days... Like I first listened to Nick Drake's Pink Moon cd on a rainy bus ride home, and now I listen to it on rainy days... It's such a beautiful thing. Anyone else have something similar?
I'm winding up for the end of the semester! Only 4 exams :) Fantastic! Right now I am studying for my history exam... :)

 Jingle Bells... Jingle Bells...
So sue me! I've started collecting items for Christmas. I'm in a couple of Christmas swaps on swap-bot so I've gotta get started now :P Right? My main excuse is that if I don't get the items now the cheapie places like dollar stores will be out of them when I want them.
I got cute mini ornament tupperware for my bento, 2 wrapping paper rolls, ribbon and a cute set of mini ornaments to put on my gifts for decoration.
Recently I've been thinking about those little mini fake presents, you know the tiny ones filled with styrofoam that look so cute? Didn't you unwrap those as a kid and weren't you disappointed every time they didn't have anything in them? I was... I want some of those this year But I haven't picked any up yet...
I also want and adore this ornament from anthropologie.com... It's so cute *_*! If only it weren't so expensive....

I'm working on a stack of mini zippies I have cut out! It is going pretty well! :) I made 9 today plus the ones I made the past few days. I don't know how much I'll get done tomorrow because I have a huge test coming up to work on. Literature. Let's hope there's nothing too intense (aka long) or I'll be reading cliff notes >_< !! Mostly it's modern American poetry though like Carl Sandburg (my favorite poet of all time) and Wallace and all that jazz.
Look what I bought today and turned into a fantastic new on-the-go morning mug for myself! YAY!!!!!!! *joy* Cute cute cute, too! And I can change the fabric if I ever get too sick of it :P (yea right.. i love my hansel and gretel)
Well it is ridiculously late in my brain so I am going to bed, sweet dreams to all!

Aren't these just kawaii as can be? I made them to put in my matchboxes.. I've got 2 matchbox swaps coming up - the Fairytale and the Kawaii matchbox swaps. I really wanted something cute, home made and unique... I think these came out pretty nicely!!! I can't wait to keep it going with some glitter hairpins and stuff like that... :) I am thinking of more ideas, too.
I took a slight dive into polymer clay today (hence the onigiri up top) but I didn't bake them long enough... I think maybe my oven bakes too hot so I might need to lower the temperature. Plus I kept reading all this stuff about toxicness and baking in your home oven and stuff... I might wait until I can find a good little toaster oven to make some more things... We'll see. All the little polymer things on etsy are just so cute, though....
While I am here I am going to plug a few swaps I am in that perhaps you'd like to join, whoever you are :)
Spice swap - for all those holiday bakers out there like me.... Swap 2 of your favorite spices in small quantities :)
Surviving the Holidays - some things to get you through the holidays! Make a wishlist :D

Holy cow! This past week has been the week from hell =o. My entire week was spent working, studying, writing papers, reading for school, did I mention working? What a mess!!! Finally, though, I am done. I have FINISHED a 8 page report on The Sound and the Fury (by William Faulkner) and a 15 page report on a book for my "Capstone" class which is based on biographies of black leaders. The book was called An American Insurrection and it was violent, depressing and hit close to home since I almost attended Ole Miss in honor of the Southern writers I admire so much. In between all that reading and writing I had to work 5 shifts this week, I think totaling somewhere close to 30 hours. It was really rough. Everyone knows how crazy things have been for me. My house is in disarray, my room is unvaccumed with a pile of dirty laundry heaping well over my laundry basket. I also had to write a story this week and that came out to like 10 pages or something but it wasn't so bad....... I do live for writing after all. Thank god I can read quickly and I'm so adept at quickly producing good papers, otherwise I'd be SOL. >_>
In the mean time last weekend I managed to get a ton of swaps sent out including these great stuffies in a matchbox! Hopefully they won't think I'm cheating by not actually like... hand piecing the stuffie but I am just not that talented yet. Lol.
I can't wait to get my trade from Sakurakittycreatives!! Squee!
I am afraid to look at how high my etsy seller fees are now...
Look for my ad coming up on swapbot soon, though!! :)
Next week should be a lot more easy going with lots of time to sew and work on swaps and clean my house and do some mild studying and reading for future tests and papers.
Only 13 days until my Fiance comes back and we go home for thanksgiving!!! YAY!
